Will find Copper or Alloy cables down to about 500-600mm without too much problems.
Just a good metal detector, you can trace the lines and were they go pretty easy.
Also has a pinpoint function, so if you are drilling a hole you can put the coil down the hole and move it around looking for the cable precise location for retrieval
